Jason Farnham of Los Angeles, CA is truly THE "International Entertainer of Contemporary Piano Music". From the baby grand at Deepak Chopra's retreat in San Diego to the Cultural Center for the Arts in Canton, Ohio, Jason’s spectacular show “An Evening of Contemporary Piano” delights audiences around the world, again and again. Whether it’s his ability to connect with the audience on a personal level, the way he creates a variety of emotions through his soul-soothing compositions, or the inclusion of occasional guest artists such as world-renowned Ohio flutist Dianne Williams or Japanese jazz virtuoso guitarist Yosho Doi, Jason’s true gift of captivating the audience and taking them along on his picturesque musical journey is unmatched by any other. Jason plays a great blend of his signature original compositions from his new 2008 album “Serene” and 2005 release “Special Times”, such as the ever popular pieces “When” and the title track “Serene”, along with new material and original arrangements of a few old favorites, such as the Irish haunting melody “Be Thou My Vision”. The show is non-stop entertainment, chock full of Jason’s witty and comical insights about playing the piano between the pieces! During the Christmas season, Jason adds his signature arrangements of special holiday music, truly making the show a joyful and memorable experience for the audience.

RANTS AND RAVES FOR "AN EVENING OF CONTEMPORARY PIANO WITH JASON FARNHAM"

"Farnham's arrangement of 'Be Thou My Vision' is quite different from any I've heard. It's deep bass rhythm and having each verse become a variation on the theme are both effective and stirring!" -Kathy Parsons, Music Reviewer, mainlypiano.com

"Jason's newest CD is outstanding! Thanks for a delightful evening of first class entertainment." -Jacqueline Buch, NE Ohio

On the other edge of the musical spectrum, Jason has been dubbed the “chameleon artist” because of his ability to switch genres from his signature new age piano to dancy, Euro-style rock. Born in New York City, Jason's parents started him on piano lessons at the age of 4, but he quickly grew tired of playing classical music and started searching for something else. Jason's interest in Euro style bands began after he saw U2's Zoo TV Tour at the Cleveland Coliseum during his high school years. He was so impressed that he started listening to bands like Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, and Peter Gabriel, and began writing his own music, building his songs around his primary instrument, the piano. After developing his sound, recording his first rock CD 'Barriers' in Toronto, and playing shows around Ohio, Jason made the move to Los Angeles, where he quickly adapted to the SOCAL music scene.

Within the past 18 months of moving to Los Angeles, Jason has formed his synth pop band and aquired a dedicated fan base, playing shows to packed houses at The Mint, BB King's (Universal City Walk), Key Club, The Joint, Cat Club, The Whisky a GoGo, and Temple Bar (Santa Monica). The L.A. based band plays to a sequence including techno loops and sound effects, resulting in a hard-hitting and danceable live performance.
